no fine print surprises

The short version

  • We collect what you give us in forms and on calls, plus normal website and ad data.
  • We use it to talk with you, run our clients’ campaigns and improve our ads.
  • We never sell your information or share your mobile number for others’ marketing.
  • Reply STOP to any text, unsubscribe from any email, or email us to see or delete your data.

Who we are

Shade Lab Marketing is a DBA of Max Conversion Marketing, LLC (“Shade Lab,” “we,” “us”), which runs Google and Meta advertising, lead capture, follow-up and appointment booking for motorized shade and screen companies. This policy explains how we handle personal information on shadelabmarketing.com, on landing pages and forms we run, in our text messages and emails, and when you talk with us.

Questions? Email [email protected] or write to Shade Lab Marketing, 8301 State Line Rd., Ste 220 #3946, Kansas City, MO 64114.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and business details you enter in our forms: name, company, email, phone number, service area, what you install, ad budget and anything you write in a message.
  • Information you share on calls or by email, such as details about your business and goals.
  • Client information needed to deliver our services, such as ad account access, billing contact details and business information for text message registration.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time on page and the site that referred you.
  • Campaign data: the ad, campaign and keyword that brought you to us (for example UTM tags and click IDs from Google and Meta).
  • Cookies and pixels: see Cookies and tracking.

Information from others

  • Ad platforms: if you fill out a lead form inside Facebook, Instagram or Google, those platforms send us what you submitted.
  • Our clients: when we work for a shade or screen company, it may share customer and lead information with us to run its campaigns and follow-up.

If you’re a homeowner

Did you request a quote, measure or consult for shades or screens? You may have used a landing page or form we run for a local shade or screen company.

In that case, we collect your information on behalf of that company. We use it to confirm your details, follow up by text, email or phone, book your appointment on the company’s calendar and send reminders. We share it with that company so it can serve you. The company’s own privacy practices also apply to how it uses your information.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to market other companies’ products to you. To opt out of messages, reply STOP to any text, or email us and we’ll pass your request to the company.

How we use it

  • Respond to you, schedule calls and provide proposals.
  • Deliver our services to clients: run ads, capture and qualify leads, send follow-up messages, book appointments and report results.
  • Measure and improve our website, ads and services.
  • Show you relevant ads about Shade Lab on other sites and apps (see Cookies and tracking).
  • Send service messages and, where allowed, marketing about Shade Lab. You can unsubscribe any time.
  • Prevent fraud, keep our systems secure and comply with the law.

Text messages and calls

If you give us your mobile number and agree to be contacted, we (or we on behalf of the shade or screen company you contacted) may call you and send text messages, including automated messages, about your request.

  • What you’ll get: messages about your inquiry, appointment scheduling, confirmations and reminders, and follow-up about the services you asked about.
  • How often: message frequency varies.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Stop any time: reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
  • Not a condition of purchase: you never have to agree to texts to buy anything or book a call.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your mobile number and messaging opt-in information are shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages and, for homeowner requests, the company you asked to contact you. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

How we share it

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers that help us operate, such as website hosting, CRM, scheduling, email and text message delivery, analytics and payment processing. They may only use it to provide services to us.
  • Advertising platforms such as Meta and Google, through pixels, tags and conversion data, to measure and improve ads.
  • Our clients, when you submitted a request on a page or form we run for them.
  • Legal and safety reasons, such as complying with law, enforcing our agreements or protecting rights and safety.
  • Business changes, such as a merger, sale or reorganization, subject to this policy.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Some state laws treat advertising cookies and pixels as “selling,” “sharing” or “targeted advertising.” See Your choices and rights to opt out.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies, pixels and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and Google tags (Google Analytics and Google Ads), to understand how our site is used, measure which ads bring inquiries, and show ads to people who visited our site.

You can control these by:

  • blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings;
  • adjusting your Google ad settings and your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account;
  • using industry opt-out tools such as aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org;
  • turning on a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor where required by law.

Our site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above: generally for the length of a client relationship plus up to three years, and for inquiries that don’t become clients, up to two years after our last contact. We keep some records longer when the law requires it, such as billing and text message consent records. Lead data we process for a client is kept as our agreement with that client says, and deleted or returned when that relationship ends.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as access controls, encrypted connections and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

  • Emails: click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email.
  • Texts: reply STOP.
  • Ads and cookies: see Cookies and tracking.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of your information. To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request.” We’ll verify your request, respond within the time the law requires, and won’t treat you differently for using your rights. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.

If your request is about information we hold for one of our clients (for example, you contacted a local shade company), we may pass it to that company, which decides how to respond.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses and adult homeowners. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child gave us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and if the changes are significant we’ll give more notice, such as a message on our site.
